Trace Heating What Is It?

At Aptiva we are able to install self-regulating, Trace heating cable to your pipework. But, trace heating what is it? Well, it is a system used to maintain or raise the temperature of pipes and vessels using heat tracing cables. What this will do is protect any pipework that is exposed to low temperatures, this will ensure that desired service temperatures are maintained. If your pipes need protection from freezing conditions or maybe you need to keep water temperatures high at all times, trace heating could be useful to you. Trace Heating takes the form of an electrical heating element run in physical contact along the length of a pipe. The pipe is usually covered with thermal insulation to retain any heat losses from the pipe.

With our system, we install a Digitech Thermostat, this enables complete control over the protective system and allows you to change the temperature when you need to. Systems like these are used all the time and are not only used in industrial workplaces but in commercial ones too.
