We have been providing UK businesses and organisations for over 35 years with Passive Fire Protection. Fire stopping penetrations with a fire barrier is very important and can not be overstated when installed correctly, it means occupants within a building can leave the burning building safely. Penetration ceiling systems are a fundamental requirement of the fire safety designs of all buildings.

Our systems are cost-effective and comply under the current legislation. Effective penetration sealing prevents the passage of smoke, toxic gases and fires through gaps around mechanical heating & ventilation services through walls, partitions and floors. The Aptiva fire barrier system incorporates the use of high-density Rockwool slabs with a white endothermic ablative coating designed to stop the spread of the fire through openings in fire-resistant walls and floors. Our barrier system provides enhanced acoustic performance and fire protection up to a maximum of 240 minutes.

Our workforce is fully trained and compliant in all aspects of health & safety including MSTS, CITB, CSCS, IPAF and PASMA training. Our policies and procedures are reviewed on an ongoing, systematic, basis.

At Aptiva we also have other services that can help your systems to stay operational even in the coldest parts of the year. Trace Heating is one of these services we can provide you with, it is a self-regulating, trace heating cable for frost protection to exposed pipework systems. It can also be used for maintaining desired service temperatures for your pipework systems. The typical uses for this service are on sprinkler pipework systems to ensure 100% operation of the facility. It is also used for hot water services, buildings such as hotels and hospitals can benefit from our systems which enable them to maintain an instant supply of hot water to 60 degrees centigrade. It will also protect against legionella.

We install all our systems with Digitech thermostats enabling complete control of the protective systems. Thermal insulation is then applied to the network to protect and enable the system to operative effectively.
